We would like to reassure you that Friendship Estates remains fully committed to supporting our customers during the Coronavirus outbreak. There is currently high demand for all of our products and as such we have added extra Mollichaff production shifts to keep up. We have good stocks of HorseHage, ReadiGrass and most of our small animal products. We have implemented the necessary measures on site for delivery and collections, and staff are following the government and NHS hygiene advice. Social distancing is being encouraged as much as possible and we have put systems in place to reduce contact between staff and customers. Staff are working from home where possible and we have contingency plans to keep the office open and lorries loaded. Our office remains open, and we can be contacted via telephone, email and our website.
In a positive light, we continue to focus on the year ahead. We have applied fertiliser to our fields for the summer crops, and the grass is growing well. As part of our ongoing commitment to farm in an environmentally friendly manner we are busy planting a number of hedges around our fields. We are planting mixed species hedging of Hawthorn (Quickthorn), Blackthorn, Hazel, Field Maple, Dog Rose, Crab Apple, Guelder Rose and Holly. This is the ninth year we have done this.
