Harvest Workers

Harvest Workers

Starting in May and June, we are looking for people to join our team. The role will be varied. We run a fleet of 20 tractors and all the equipment for a 600Ha farm. The position would be ideal for young people wishing to increase their experience, or experienced people looking for something slightly different. You will help with growing, harvesting and processing our range of crops (mainly cereals and grass) and will be with us until September and possibly later.

The role will involve tractor driving as part of the harvest team doing a variety of tasks; bringing grass and straw bales back to the yard, rowing up grass, collecting grass with a forage wagon, leading cereals, cultivating with discs, power harrows, flatlift, Simba express etc. There might also be the opportunity to drive mowers and balers. When the weather is not so nice there is the yard work associated with the above activities.

Alongside growing the crops, we harvest, process and package our production into a range of quality, branded Horse and Pet products. We enjoy being in control and ensuring the quality of the whole material from seed to finished packaged product. More details of our products and activities are shown on our website: www.friendshipestates.co.uk

We are looking for someone with a full driving licence. Maintenance experience would be useful, but not essential.

Shared cottage, with personal bedroom, is available if required at a cost of £57.40 a week, which covers, electricity, TV license, rates and water etc.

Please apply by e-mail to andrew@friendshipestates.co.uk with a CV and covering letter, explaining why you would be suitable and
and interested in the role. The right to work in the UK is required.
